Willoughby Park Kalgan Ironrock Cabernet Sauvignon is a single site wine sourced from the estate's cool climate Kalgan River Vineyard, situated in rocky beds abundant in iron ore.

The grapes are destemmed into fermenters for cold soaking. During fermentation, the juice is pumped over twice a day and the temperature is kept around 25°C to prevent the over extraction of tannins.

The wine is then transferred to barrel for malolactic fermentation and 18 months of maturation. It is fined prior to bottling.

Bright garnet, Willoughby Park Kalgan Ironrock Cabernet Sauvignon is medium bodied with pure dark fruit flavours and layered powdery tannins. Cellaring potential is 12 years.
